Kate Middleton
After finding out she had Lupus aged 17, Kate went on to receive a further three diagnoses of autoimmune diseases, including RA. Today, Kate is Chief Executive and Founder of the Wren Project - an organisation she created as a place for people to feel supported, listened to and valued. Providing free, ongoing, one-to-one listening support for people struggling with a recent autoimmune disease diagnosis, such as arthritis, the programme sees trained volunteers meet with Wrens (participants) fortnightly over video or telephone chat. Kate recognises that living with a diagnosis has always been, and will continue to be a fight, but believes the battle is increasingly becoming less lonely.
